Trading Off Video Quality for FPS?

Plus One PC, Ltd. is an IT solutions company providing a range of services including computer system service and repair through both software and hardware mediums. We have been focused on small business and consumer clients; operating in Santa Clara, CA since 2009. We are looking for highly motivated, IT support technicians with outstanding customer service to work part-time fulfilling client service requests as we are expanding rapidly throughout the bay area.

The IT Tech Support position is project based, Monday-Saturday, with positions available for all time periods

Compensation: $15-25/hr based on project type and experience

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Provide help desk support to clients
• Install and configure Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and other applications
• Troubleshoot and repair PC's software and hardware
• Maintain network performance (both wired and wireless)
• Manage and monitor remote hard drive backup/cloud services
• Be willing to travel throughout the San Francisco bay area
• Remote client service support
• Assist with the acquisition of hardware, software, and other IT equipment
• Be able to communicate with clients as well as co-workers and managers on projects assigned
• Other activities assigned related to business offerings

Essential Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003, Server 2008)
• Excellent PC troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware
• Knowledge of system components and related technologies
• Networking knowledge and skills in at least one of the following: DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPN, Firewall

Highly Regarded but not Necessary Skills

• IT Certifications: MCSE, MCTTP, CCNA, A+, etc.
• Experience/Knowledge of HTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript
• Ability to speak foreign languages with particular emphasis on the following: Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Korean, and Hindi
